Diabetes: Can I enjoy pizza with diabetes?

It can be difficult to mix pizza and blood sugar. These three low carb pizzas won't raise your blood sugar and allow you to eat pizza without feeling guilty😉.

Ingredients

 

  • Pizza 1: half a small onion, a handful of spinach, 4 mushrooms, 35g grated cheese, 3 tbsp crushed tomatoes, burrito
  • Pizza 2: half a mozzarella, basil, tomatoes (less than 150g), 3 tbsp crushed tomatoes, burrito
  • Pizza 3: small tomatoes (less than 150g), 25g feta cheese, black olives, 3 tbsp crushed tomatoes, burrito
  • What brings your blood sugar up after 3 hours is the fat contained in the cheese. Restaurants usually put a lot of it. You will be fine with these.

Directions

  • Pre-heat the oven at 200C or 392F.
  • Get your ingredients ready because you want to work quickly since you don’t want the burrito to become soggy
  • Pizza 1: onion, a handful of spinach, mushrooms, cheese, burrito
  • Pizza 2: mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, burrito
    Pizza 3: cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, black olives, burrito
  • Cook for 9-10 minutes. Be vigilant because it cooks quickly.

Diabetes & Carb content:

Each pizza contains 2,9R or 29g carbs. The rest doesn’t count

However, if you take more than 1, check the carbs in your toppings

👉It would be even healthier to make it with whole wheat burrito!
