Yummy oats and banana breakfast pancake recipe

Who says that oats are boring? Oats and banana breakfast pancake will delight you and make you feel satiated for hours.

Diabetes & yummy recipe: Another type of pancake that will become one of your favourites and will take 5 minutes to cook in the morning. This will keep you satiated all morning! Team it with blueberries or any other type of berries. 

Ingredients

  • one egg
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 50g blueberries
  • 50g banana (if you add it, don’t forget to add 1R or 10g of carbs to the total carbs)
  • 2tbsp or 14g of oatmeal
  • 2tbsp or 22g ground almonds
  • 2tbsp or 29g full fat milk

Directions

  • Whisk an egg and add the banana that you have previously mashed
  • Add the milk, almond flour and oatmeal
    Vanilla and baking powder.
  • Mix well.
  • In a really hot pan, pour the pancake and reduce the heat to medium
  • Let it cook until the bottom part looks a bit brown, flip it and cook on this side.
  • When you serve the pancake, add the blueberries.
  • Enjoy!

Diabetes & Carb content:

Each pancake is 2,53R or 25,3g carbs

  • 50g banana equals to 1R or 10g carbs
  • 50g blueberries equals to 0,5R or 5g carbs
  • 2 tbsp oatmeal equals to 0,8R or 8g carbs
  • 2 tbsp ground almonds equals to 0,09R or 0,9g carbs
  • 2 tbsp full fat milk equals to 0,14R or 1,4g carbs

👉The ripper the banana the more the GI goes up
👉You could add some whipped cream or greek yogurt too if you wanted (but don’t forget to add the carbs!)
