Diabetes: Oatmeal with cocoa & coconut flakes breakfast recipe

Oatmeal and cocoa with coconut! Easiest and quickest breakfast ever! Super yum!

Diabetes & yummy recipe: Oats shall not be called boring anymore! Comes in: my super healthy breakfast! Oats are very filling and have many properties that makes them a weight loss friendly food. They are the healthiest food you can eat!

Ingredients

  • 125g milk
  • 34g quick oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cocoa
  • 2 pinches of desiccated coconut
  • 5/6 blueberries

Directions

  • In a bowl, add the oats, milk, cocoa and a splash of vanilla essence.
  • In a preheated pan, pour in the mixture and it should be ready in a few minutes.
  • Remember to keep stirring
  • When it is ready, top your oats with some coconut powder, it gives it a sweet taste.
  • You can add a few blueberries too to make it look nice.

Diabetes & Carb content:

Total amount of carbs in my breakfast is 2,6R or 26g carbs

  • 34g of quick oats equals to 2R or 20g carbs
  • 125g full fat milk equals to 0,6R or 6g carbs
